Job summary

Associa, a leader in community association management, seeks an experienced Community Manager (Portfolio) to lead a portfolio of HOAs from day one, with flexible, hybrid work and strong compensation.

You’ll own the full lifecycle, partner with Boards and homeowners, convene Board meetings, review budgets, oversee vendors and capital projects, and ensure community standards. Based in Signal Hill, CA, compensation ranges $65,000–$75,000 annually.

Qualifications

  • Direct HOA/community management experience required.
  • Excellent communication with Boards and homeowners.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple communities and priorities.
  • Solid understanding of budgets, financials, and operational planning.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison to Boards of Directors and homeowners.
  • Lead Board meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up.
  • Manage operations for associations in line with governing docs and management agreements.
  • Review financials and budgets, provide insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee vendors, contracts, and capital projects.
  • Manage compliance, assessments, and risk awareness.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain community standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including the Client Shared Service Center.

What You’ll Do

As a Community Manager, you’ll own the full lifecycle of your portfolio and serve as the trusted partner to Boards and homeowners.

Requirements

Required:

  • Direct HOA / Community Management experience
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with Boards
  • Working knowledge of financials, budgets, and operational planning
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communities effectively
    Preferred
    • Industry certifications or licenses (CMCA, CCAM, AMS, etc.)
    Work Environment

    This is a highly interactive, relationship‑driven role. You’ll spend time in the office, in the field, and working with communities. Local travel within your portfolio may be required.
