Job summary

Associa is seeking an experienced Community Manager (Portfolio) to lead a growing portfolio of HOAs and communities from day one. This role offers hybrid flexibility and the opportunity to make an immediate impact in San Diego.

You will manage boards, financials, vendor contracts, risk, and community standards, with travel to sites as needed. Prior HOA/community management experience is essential; CMCA or CCAM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle of portfolio and serve as the trusted partner to Boards and homeowners.
  • Lead Board meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Managing association operations in alignment with governing documents and management agreements.
  • Reviewing financials and budgets, providing insight and recommendations.
  • Overseeing vendors, contracts, and capital projects.
  • Managing compliance, collections, and risk awareness.
  • Conducting site inspections and maintaining community standards.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, including the Client Shared Service Center.

What You’ll Do

As a Community Manager, you’ll own the full lifecycle of your portfolio and serve as the trusted partner to Boards and homeowners.

Required
  • Direct HOA / Community Management experience
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with Boards
  • Working knowledge of financials, budgets, and operational planning
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communities effectivelyOrganized, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
Preferred
  • Industry certifications or licenses (CMCA, CCAM, AMS, etc.)
Work Environment

This is a highly interactive, relationship-driven role. You’ll spend time in the office, in the field, and working with communities. Local travel within your portfolio may be required.
