Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to oversee the commissioning of utility-scale solar, battery storage, SCADA, and HV substation projects across the United States. The role involves planning, executing, and managing commissioning to ensure systems meet contractual requirements and a smooth handover to operations.

The position requires leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with owners and utilities, and ensuring readiness before energization, with a hybrid work model

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Ownership of a technical project scope including schedule, resources, stakeholders, risk, and delivery commitments.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects and leading cross-functional field teams.

Responsibilities

• Own HV or BESS commissioning scope across 2-3 concurrent projects with deliverables and milestones.
• Develop and maintain commissioning execution plans, registers, and readiness criteria.
• Translate contracts, specs, interconnection requirements into executable commissioning scope and plan.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure safety and quality prerequisites before testing or energization.
• Coordinate field teams, OEMs, third-party testers, and stakeholders in commissioning activities.
