Job summary

Assurant is hiring a Sales Specialist in Rapid City to support the extended warranty contract business by selling contracts and resolving billing questions. The role rewards performance with hourly pay plus commission and includes structured training.

You will manage inbound calls, cultivate relationships, and identify cross-sell opportunities, aiming to exceed metrics while adhering to policy. The position starts onsite with possible remote work after a probation period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months customer service experience preferred.
• Able to work 8-hour shift/40 hours a week between 6:00 am MST and 6:00 pm MST.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and develop customer relationships to identify sales opportunities and maintain long-term customers.
• Handle inbound calls to create a positive experience while helping customers protect what matters most.
• Apply sales tools and techniques to identify cross-sale opportunities and sell extended service contracts.
• Actively listen to customer needs to provide solutions and ensure they feel supported.
• Resolve questions and maintain/update existing customer contracts and perform file maintenance.
• Navigate multiple programs/software for information gathering, troubleshooting and processing transactions.
• Strive to meet and exceed department metrics and business goals.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• This position will be onsite at our Rapid City location with the option to work remote after an agreed period.
