Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial lines underwriting or brokerage experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing with ability to build client relationships.
• Licensing CPCU/CIC or comparable designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, grow a book of business through new business production and renewals.
• Manage agency relationships and serve as primary client contact.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive business growth.
• Rate, quote, and bind risks for complex renewals and new business.
• Submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities and management.
• Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve hit rates, retention, and growth.
• Lead, train, and mentor Assistant and Associate Underwriters.

Job Summary

Seeking experienced and driven Production Binding Underwriters specializing in Commercial Lines and Personal Lines to join a dynamic team. Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $95,000 - $125,000+ (depending on experience) + bonus opportunities

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and grow a book of business through new business production and renewals
• Manage agency relationships and serve as the primary client contact
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive business growth
• Rate, quote, and bind risks to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing for complex renewals and new business
• Submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities and management
• Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve new business hit rates, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratios
• Lead, train, and mentor Assistant and Associate Underwriters

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial lines underwriting or brokerage experience (excess & surplus experience preferred)
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Interest in continued education and professional development
• Insurance license, CPCU, CIC, or comparable designations preferred
