Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Memphis is seeking a Tire Technician to mount, dismount, repair, and install commercial truck tires in our service center. You will operate tire-changing equipment, inspect for safety, and help keep the tire slab clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; valid driver’s license preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn tire service procedures.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount commercial tires and install wheel assemblies
• Inspect tires, wheels, and rims for damage and safety concerns
• Prepare tires for installation and assist with balancing as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized tire slab and shop area
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards
