Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a Tire Technician to service and repair tires for a range of vehicle types, with responsibilities including on-site inspections and roadside calls when required.

You will work with heavy-duty tires, perform maintenance tasks, and participate in ongoing safety and training programs. Competitive benefits accompany a role that may require overtime and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Possible overtime may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers.
• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck (F-350) when needed.
• Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.
• Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.
