Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire service technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles. You will diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers and perform fleet inspections and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Possible overtime may be required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and working in awkward postures or under vibration.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across various vehicle types: passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers; service on commercial tires, HVAC, brakes, PM inspections, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic regulations.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck (F-350).
• Use and maintain TPMS.
• Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.
• Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
