Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is hiring a tire technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair passenger to industrial tires, with the ability to service semi-trucks and trailers on-site when needed.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, maintaining safety standards, loading/unloading stock, and supporting inventory. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 30–250 lbs are required; pre-employment drug screen is mandatory. 401K matching offered.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger, light trucks, large trucks and industrial.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair semi-truck and trailer systems including tires, HVAC, brakes, steering, suspension, PM inspections, drive train and electrical.
• Ensure safe operation of company vehicles and compliance with regulations.
• Participate in training, follow safety procedures, duties, and company policies.
• Assist with loading/unloading stock and inventory control.
• Work with tire TPMS and related systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
