Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Service Tire Technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck. You will mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for passenger, light truck, and commercial applications.

The role requires diagnosing tire-related issues, performing light mechanical repairs, inspecting tires and wheels, and operating TPMS with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Overtime may be required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred.
• Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
• Capable of working independently in various weather and road conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for passenger, light truck, commercial, and industrial applications.
• Diagnose and repair tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition.
• Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including clear communication of service details and timelines.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.
