Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Security Sales Manager to lead a field sales team across a territory and grow our security business. You will coach representatives, drive revenue, and align sales initiatives with marketing plans while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Role requires 5+ years selling in a B2B environment, with leadership experience, excellent communication, and the ability to travel evenings and weekends to support customers.

Qualifications

• College degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or comparable experience.
• 5+ years of sales experience, with 3+ years in field sales management in B2B.
• Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact with senior executives and field teams.
• Experience leading a diverse sales organization in a matrix environment.
• Will travel nights and weekends to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial security sales team with clear performance standards.
• Build and retain a productive sales team to meet revenue goals.
• Drive business development, territory management, and presentations.
• Own profitability, RPU growth, and customer/team retention.
• Plan and implement sales operations across the territory.
• Set expectations for touch activity, quotas, and daily execution.
• Measure activity to translate marketing into sales production.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align sales with business priorities.
