Job summary

Johnson Controls Security is hiring a Commercial Sales Account Executive to generate new business and expand existing commercial accounts within a designated territory. You will manage relationships, understand the full product and service portfolio, and drive renewals where applicable.

You will represent the Johnson Controls Security brand in your territory, promoting services and technology to protect people, property, and operations, with a competitive salary and incentive plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to present to senior‑level executives.
• Ability to work a full‑time schedule.
• Available for local travel.
• Strong organization, follow‑up, and territory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services within an assigned territory.
• Create new market share by developing local commercial customers and closing new business.
• Expand existing accounts through add-ons, amendments, conversions, upgrades, and renewals.
• Identify and pursue resale opportunities while maintaining productive relationships with current customers.
• Use creative lead‑generating techniques to identify prospects and build a strong pipeline.
• Establish call plans, follow‑up strategies, and effective territory management practices.
• Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence to support business development.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the full product line, services, customer issues, and needs.
• Process work orders and complete required paperwork in accordance with approved procedures.
• Conduct post‑installation follow‑up to confirm commitments were met and customer satisfaction remains strong.
