Job summary

Johnson Controls Security seeks a Commercial Sales Account Executive to generate new business, expand commercial accounts, and support renewals in the assigned territory. Represent the Johnson Controls Security brand in your territory and help customers find the right solutions to support safety, retention, and growth.

This role focuses on disciplined territory management, strong customer relationships, and a thorough understanding of the Johnson Controls Security product and service portfolio,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to present to senior-level executives within customer and Johnson Controls Security organizations.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule.
• Available for local travel.
• Strong organization, follow-up, and territory management skills.
• Nice to Have College degree.
• At least 2 years of successful commercial sales experience in the security, IT, or other technology sales industry.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed quota consistently.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory.
• Create new market share by developing local commercial customers and closing new business.
• Expand existing accounts through add-ons, amendments, conversions, upgrades, and renewals.
• Identify and pursue resale opportunities while maintaining productive relationships with current customers.
• Use creative lead-generating techniques to identify prospects and build a strong pipeline.
• Establish call plans, follow-up strategies, and effective territory management practices.
• Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence to support business development.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the full product line, services, customer issues, and needs.
• Process work orders and complete required paperwork in accordance with approved procedures.
• Conduct post-installation follow-up to confirm commitments were met and customer satisfaction remains strong.
