Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Commercial Route Supervisor in North Carolina to oversee daily service delivery for commercial customers, ensure safety, timeliness, and cost efficiency in line with Waste Pro practices. You will supervise drivers, coordinate routes, monitor safety, and complete reports while collaborating with municipalities.

The role requires CDL and leadership experience; you will train staff and help drive a distinguishably different level of service.

Qualifications

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years experience in transportation, management, logistics or waste industry.
Knowledge and prior application of Smith System and/or Decision Driving principles and techniques.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI and related regulations.
Valid class A or B commercial driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise drivers and daily operations; ensure safety and service standards.
Route new service starts, schedule deliveries, and optimize labor costs.
Monitor routes, address customer issues, and communicate with drivers.
Complete route observations, safety reports, and training needs.
Monitor pre-trip inspections, shop issues, and DOT/hours of service compliance.
Conduct performance evaluations and attend relevant meetings.
