Job summary

TeamCraft Roofing is seeking a Service Manager to lead the local branch operations, develop the careers of field employees, and promote honesty, safety, quality, and teamwork. You will oversee sales of work, project management, scheduling, and billing from PO receipt to final completion, while ensuring OSHA and TeamCraft Safety Demands are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus five years in a commercial roofing environment.
• Knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Knowledge of state and local building codes including UBC, and electrical and plumbing codes.
• Experience determining roof types and estimating materials, hours, and replacement costs.
• Experience directing large-scale commercial roofing projects and interpreting roofing plans, specifications and standards.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and to write routine reports.
• Strong communication skills; comfortable fielding questions daily from clients, employees, and company leadership.
• Working knowledge of how roofing systems function and come together.
• Strong organizational skills; effective personal filing/storage system.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Company Roofing Safety Policies.
• Evaluating multiple types of both low slope and steep slope roofing.
• Diagnosing problems on roofs and providing solutions to the problems.
• Manage customer relations and build/maintain a positive customer base; actively sell work.
• Hire and train employees; conduct employee evaluations.
• Reading drawings and specifications.
• Estimating work.
• Perform job cost analysis.
• Work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Climb ladders; work on potentially unsafe or hazardous roofs and structures.
• Maintain dispatch board in the Company’s field management system and ensure work orders are closed within 30 days of dispatch.
• Comply with all weekly reporting requirements.
• Approximately 60% statewide travel is required.
