Job summary

Relation Insurance Inc. is seeking a Risk Advisor to drive new account production and sales within assigned accounts. You will research markets, educate clients on services, and expand relationships while maintaining a profitable book of business.

The role requires a Property and Casualty license, strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and experience with complex commercial coverage. You will collaborate with carriers and internal teams to deliver loss control and claims advocacy when

Qualifications

• Property and Casualty Insurance License is required and must be maintained.
• College degree or minimum 2 years’ sales experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Experience with complex commercial coverage.
• Strong negotiator and problem solver; works well with diverse personalities.
• In-depth understanding of insurance markets, products and underwriting procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).

Responsibilities

• Achieves annual new revenue objectives through consultative sales to new clients and expansion of service lines to existing clients.
• Exhibits thought leadership and industry engagement through associations and speaking panels.
• Develops annual sales plan with a pipeline coverage ratio aligned to company metrics.
• Builds active pipeline of qualified prospects and generates leads from various sources.
• Documents new business activity in the sales tracking system.
• Closes new business and documents won/loss in the system.
• Develops and presents recommendations to clients using consultative selling.
• Identifies risk issues and insurable or difficult exposures for clients.
• Recommends loss control and claims advocacy services where appropriate.
• Transitions sold clients to client service/account management team.
• Serves as a trusted advisor to key client decision makers.
