Qualifications

• Property and Casualty Insurance License required and must be maintained.
• College degree or minimum 2 years' sales experience in the insurance industry preferred.
• Experience working with complex commercial coverage.
• Strong negotiator with good problem-solving and people skills.
• In-depth understanding of insurance markets, products and underwriting processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to explain coverages clearly.

Responsibilities

• Achieves annual new revenue objectives through consultative sales to new clients and expansion of service lines to existing clients.
• Exhibits thought leadership and industry engagement through associations and speaking panels.
• Develops annual sales plan with a pipeline coverage ratio to meet goals.
• Builds an active pipeline of qualified prospects from various sources.
• Documents and tracks new business activity in Relation's sales system.
• Closes new business and documents reasons for wins/losses in the system.
• Advises clients with technical services including loss control and claims advocacy.
• Transitions sold clients to the client service/account management team.
