GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for profitable business development and monitoring the quality of an extensive portfolio of companies with annual gross sales of at least $10 million, with a focus on customers with higher revenues (e.g., at least $20 million). Ability to lead and coordinate with One Bank Partners to create and implement relationship strategies for clients and prospects. Requires strong knowledge of credit, commercial products, and financial statement analysis to offer banking solutions such as loans, treasury management, and capital markets based on client needs. Extensive experience working with high-revenue, complex relationships is essential. The role includes soliciting participation in public debt issuance and engaging in community activities.

Responsible and accountable for risk management by adhering to policies, elevating concerns, and ensuring actions align with the Bank's risk appetite. Always prioritize doing the right thing for customers and colleagues to ensure a positive customer experience. Achieve results by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting all types of risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Identify and develop profitable new client relationships using centers of influence, existing clients, and referrals.
  2. Develop and execute a business plan to meet financial and qualitative goals.
  3. Collaborate with internal partners to deepen existing relationships and acquire new ones.
  4. Participate in community and industry events to expand networks and stay informed on trends and competition.
  5. Work with product partners to analyze, evaluate, and develop tailored relationship strategies, ensuring risk is managed and client needs are met.
  6. Meet regularly with clients to strengthen trusted advisor relationships.
  7. Use consultative selling skills, the commercial playbook, and call reporting plans to enhance client experience.
  8. Utilize the CRM system for tracking client activity, call reports, and pipeline management.
  9. Analyze financial information to determine appropriate credit requests.
  10. Monitor client financial performance and industry trends to manage credit risk and pricing.
  11. Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on credit requests, following established guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No formal supervisory responsibilities; expected to guide Commercial RM I & II.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of Commercial Banking experience, with at least 5 years in sales preferred.
  • Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent experience required.
  • Underwriting experience preferred.
  • Proven partnership with investment bankers for strategic advice.
  • Ability to build and grow client business, increasing revenue and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial analysis and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Commercial, Treasury Management, and financing options.
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop financial solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, with experience in negotiations.
  • Proven team-based sales success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools preferred.
  • Willingness to travel regionally/local.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Standard office environment with minimal exposure to environmental factors.
  • Extended screen time.
  • Frequent travel possible depending on assignments.
