Job summary

Shulman Rogers' Real Estate Department in Potomac seeks an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to handle complex transactions, title issues, and closings.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of title insurance, ALTA surveys, and lending with MD, DC, VA exposure, plus strong organizational and communication skills. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Extensive commercial title insurance and underwriting expertise, including the ability to independently manage complete commercial closings.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending, lien priorities, and recording requirements in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and financial skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and title industry software.
• Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with affordable housing finance, LIHTC transactions, tax-exempt bonds, and agency financing is highly preferred.
