Job summary

Cleveland Construction is seeking a Project Superintendent to serve as the on-site leader for high-profile commercial construction projects in Lafayette, LA. The role requires travel and extended stays at job sites to drive construction from setup through turnover.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years as a GC Superintendent on large-scale commercial projects, a degree in Construction Management or related field, and proficiency with blueprints, MEP systems, and construction management software.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a GC Superintendent on large scale commercial construction projects.
• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and MEP building systems; proficient in construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities, manage project schedules, submit daily logs and field reports.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors, vendors, and trade labor to maintain productivity and contract compliance.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings, enforce OSHA regulations, and maintain a secure job site for all workers and visitors.
• Inspect workmanship and materials to verify adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Manage municipal and jurisdictional inspections and drive punch list completions.
