Talent Edge Recruiting seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager for an onsite role in San Jose, CA. You will own projects from preconstruction through closeout and coordinate with owners, contractors and engineers.

Projects range from small to large scale in life science, commercial/industrial, and tenant improvements with bonus potential. A strong background in scheduling, cost control and contract administration is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
• Strong commercial construction/GC background.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, subcontractor management and construction documents.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Handle estimating, proposals, quantity takeoffs, job walks and subcontractor buyout
• Manage contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals and project documentation
• Own project schedules, monthly billings, invoices and financial tracking
• Lead owner/contractor meetings and coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects and engineers
• Identify project issues early and keep schedules, budgets and deliverables on track

Job description

San Jose, CA | Onsite | $130K–$200K + Bonus

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join a growing Bay Area general contractor. This is a hands-on PM role with full ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout/customer move-in.

Projects range from approximately $250K to $60M and include life science, commercial/industrial construction, tenant improvements, and seismic/structural work.

What You’ll Do

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

What We’re Looking For

• Strong commercial construction / General Contractor background
• Experience managing projects from start to finish
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, subcontractor management and construction documents
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project and Excel
• Knowledge of AIA documentation and Sage 100 Contractor is a plus
• California driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Commercial experience required, residential-only backgrounds will not be considered
• $130K–$200K base salary, depending on experience
