Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager for commercial construction in the Bay Area with a strong emphasis on MEP systems. The role oversees the full lifecycle of high-impact projects across the Bay Area, coordinating with owners, architects, and trades to maintain schedules, budgets, and quality.

You will lead pre-construction efforts, manage costs, drive safety initiatives, mentor project teams, and build lasting client relationships in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CM/CE or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Strong estimating skills with understanding of building trades, methods, and MEP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resourceful problem-solver with ability to maintain team morale.
  • Proficient in scheduling software (MS Project/Primavera), MS Office, and estimating software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full project lifecycle for commercial construction projects across the Bay Area, including schedules, quality control, and stakeholder communication (owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors).
  • Lead pre-construction efforts: coordinate job walks, prepare RFPs, analyze subcontractor proposals, generate bid tabulations, produce quantity take-offs, contribute to constructability reviews.
  • Oversee cost control: track and manage change orders, prepare owner billings, route invoices, and execute financial close-out.
  • Maintain document control: manage RFI, submittal, and change order logs; update master drawing sets; distribute project documentation.
  • Develop, monitor, and update master schedules and 3-week rolling schedules; identify impacts and solutions.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings and participate in OAC meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Administrators.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of building trades, methods, materials, and especially MEP systems to resolve field issues and review submittals.
  • Support safety initiatives, site-specific safety plans, and job hazard analysis.
  • Coordinate with estimating on budgets, bid review, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships focused on long-term partnerships and excellent customer service.
