Job summary

InHouse Talent Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead sophisticated commercial construction projects across California and Arizona. You will oversee complex ground-up, adaptive reuse, seismic upgrades, and high-end interiors, partnering with owners, architects, and construction teams.

Qualifications

• 9–12+ years of commercial construction project-management experience.
• Experience managing complex commercial interiors, tenant improvements, ground-up construction, adaptive reuse, seismic, infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, drawings and specs.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, forecasting, subcontractors, and client relationships.
• Experience handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, billing, closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Maintain overall accountability for project budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as primary contact for owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Participate in estimating, budgeting, bid leveling, buyout, value engineering, constructability reviews, logistics planning, and phasing.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, subcontract agreements, and project documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling, sequencing, staffing, site logistics, resource planning, and safety with supers.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, scope development, contracting, invoicing, performance, and issue resolution.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting documentation, project correspondence, and closeout requirements.
• Track costs, forecasts, commitments, billings, pay applications, and overall profitability.
• Identify risks early; develop practical solutions to keep work moving.
• Maintain strong quality-control standards and turnover documentation.
• Mentor project engineers and junior PM staff.

Qualifications

• 9-12+ years of commercial construction project-management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing commercial interiors, tenant improvements, ground-up construction, adaptive reuse, renovation, seismic, infrastructure, or other technically complex projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, drawings, specifications, subcontractor scopes, project controls, and contract administration.
• Proven ability to independently manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, subcontractors, and client relationships.
• Experience handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, billing, closeout, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-management skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving and evolving construction environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar project-management platforms is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Planera, or similar tools.
• Base salary: $195,000-$235,000, depending on experience
