Job summary

Green Boy Group in Chicago is seeking a Commercial Ingredients Manager to drive growth of our plant-based ingredient portfolio across the USA, identifying new opportunities and strengthening relationships with suppliers and customers to support long-term success.

You will collaborate with internal Operations and Quality teams to ensure smooth contract execution and align sales strategies with company objectives, while navigating international and domestic markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–10 years of commercial experience in international specialty ingredients or commodity trade.
• Experience in pet food is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of results.
• Strong negotiation skills with a collaborative, win‑win mindset.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20-25%.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities for plant-based ingredients across the USA and international markets.
• Develop and manage customer and supplier relationships, building long-term strategic partnerships.
• Optimize and expand existing partner relationships to drive sustainable growth.
• Develop and implement an annual sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Negotiate commercial agreements with a focus on mutually beneficial, long‑term outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth contract execution and operational follow-through.
• Monitor market trends, pricing developments, and competitive activity in the plant-based and specialty ingredient space.
