Job summary

Santander Consumer USA Inc. is seeking a Sr Specialist, Commercial Loan Servicing to support back office activities for commercial loan products, including new loans, modifications, and extensions.

You will input loan data, review documents for accuracy, and maintain strong client and internal stakeholder relationships. The role requires 2+ years in commercial loan operations, excellent communication, and knowledge of banking regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience or education.
• 2+ years experience with commercial loan operations.
• Excellent communication, good organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and bank systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly and be a team player.
• Working knowledge in Commercial Banking.
• Knowledge of Syndicated and Commercial loan products and markets.
• Ability to review and interpret legal documentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for banking loans.
• Knowledge of Banking Regulations and standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input loan data, terms, and conditions into booking systems based on approved docs.
• Review loan documents for completeness and accuracy prior to booking.
• On boarding of new commercial loans, renewals and modifications with correct fields.
• Verify the integrity of data entered, cross-referencing with source documents.
• Support the team in researching and resolving discrepancies or data entry issues.
• Learn and apply internal policies and regulatory guidelines related to loan servicing.
• Collaborate with managers to understand and improve booking/servicing workflows.
• Assist with departmental administrative functions and special projects.
