Job summary

Santander US is seeking an Associate, Commercial & Wholesale Operations to support Back Office activities across commercial loan products, including loan/fee accruals, reconciliations, and client-facing coordination.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial loan operations, strong communication, and knowledge of syndicated/ commercial loans. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and bank systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly and be a team player.
• Working knowledge in Commercial Banking.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of Syndicated and Commercial Loan products and markets.
• Ability to review and interpret legal documentation supporting these products.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support all Back Office activities for the assigned product area to ensure efficient delivery of products and services.
• Interpret credit agreements related to loan/fee accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Provide leadership in Loan Operations in absence of manager.
• Train new staff on systems, procedures and processes.
• Suggest changes to policies and procedures based on day-to-day observations.
