Santander Consumer USA Inc. is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Commercial & Wholesale Operations in Jericho, NY.

The role focuses on loan/letter of credit booking, funding, payments and maintenance and involves analyzing credit agreements, reconciliations and risk controls for commercial loan products. You will handle complex transactions, ensure proper documentation, and collaborate with teams to meet deadlines while navigating bank systems and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
Excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and various bank systems.
Experience in Commercial Banking and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Syndicated and Commercial Loan products and markets.
Expert knowledge of lending policies, credit analysis, underwriting, and structuring.

Responsibilities

Processes transactions involving booking and servicing commercial loans and letters of credit.
Researches and responds to commercial loan requests from supported business areas.
Reviews payment history, loan balances, and related documents including forbearance and modifications.
Performs dollar transactions, collateral setup/maintenance, GL balancing, and quality review.
Creates and analyzes error reports and reviews payments logs and wire transfers.
Ensures proper documentation is filed for audits.
Identifies and resolves problems within guidelines.
