Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Loan Servicing Specialist in New York for comprehensive servicing of commercial and SBA loans. You will handle setup, funding, post-closing tasks, and ongoing maintenance within core systems while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

You'll train new hires, reconcile ledgers, monitor collateral and lien positions, and prepare payoff and release documents. A strong customer-service focus and knowledge of loan documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience.
• 5-6 years of commercial or small business loan experience.
• Knowledge of commercial and small business loan products, credit policy, regulatory issues.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and servicing systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete new loan set-up, funding, and post-closing review.
• Process post loan transactions across product types.
• Perform loan maintenance in the core system as needed.
• Meet established service levels and benchmarks.
• Prepare payoff quotes and payoff transactions.
• Respond to customer inquiries with exemplary service in timeframes.
• Process loan modifications and monitor reporting adjustments.
• Review ARM Rate Notice Report adjustments and borrower correspondence.
• Monitor and reconcile SBA-related reports and liaise with partners.
• Perform all post-closing servicing for SBA loans.
• Ensure data integrity and CECL compliance.
• Train new hires for consistency in servicing operations.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts and daily balances.
• Monitor collateral records and accurate lien positions.
• Prepare release documents and maintain collateral records.
• Process LOC renewals and paid loan reports.
• Research complex UCC continuations; correct errors as needed.
• Provide support for testing new products and services.
• Manage servicing workflows and audits data requests.
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
• Ensure accuracy while meeting SLAs and benchmarks.
• Comply with company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Utilize MS Office and departmental software to gain efficiency.
• Work as part of a team and with on-site equipment.
