Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Experience in state and federal courts including CM/ECF filing.
  • Bachelor's degree and ABA-approved paralegal certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Westlaw, Adobe, and e‑discovery tools.
  • Experience with processing electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Ability to learn and work with emerging artificial intelligence applications.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of commercial litigation case management from pre-suit investigation through trial and post-trial proceedings.
  • Collect, review, and organize large document sets in connection with discovery obligations and case strategy.
  • Prepare documents for production, including privilege review coordination and Bates‑stamping.
  • Help attorneys prepare for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial, including exhibit binders and demonstratives.
  • Prepare and serve subpoenas, including subpoenas duces tecum.
  • Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and other court filings in Arizona state and federal courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
  • Manage case calendars, deadlines, and docketing per applicable rules.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for court reporting, copy services, and e‑discovery support.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and courtroom technology setup.

Quarles & Brady is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of litigation and trial experience to join our Commercial Litigation Group in our Phoenix, Arizona office. This position will assist attorneys in all phases of case management—from inception through trial—in a broad range of commercial disputes, including things like contract, business tort, real estate, and corporate governance matters. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of Arizona state and federal court procedures and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are open to considering candidates who can work either in‑office or in a hybrid arrangement, consistent with the needs of the position and the firm.

  • Manage case calendars, deadlines, and docketing in accordance with the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for court reporting, copy services, and e‑discovery support if necessary.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management, and courtroom technology setup.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, with a focus on commercial litigation preferred.
  • Strong litigation experience in both state and federal courts, including familiarity with Arizona Superior Court procedures and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona (Local Rules and CM/ECF filing).
  • Bachelor's Degree and a Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Westlaw, Adobe, and e‑discovery tools.
  • Extensive e‑discovery and other technology experience with applications such as Trial Director, CaseMap, DISCO, and Everlaw.
  • Experience with processing electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Ability to learn and work with emerging artificial intelligence applications.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and strong interpersonal skills.
