Quarles & Brady LLP seeks an enthusiastic Litigation Paralegal to join our Labor & Employment Practice Group in San Diego. The role supports attorneys through all phases of case management from inception to trial in a broad range of labor and employment matters.

The ideal candidate has strong litigation experience, excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and demonstrates exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in labor and employment.
• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw and e-discovery tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with labor and employment litigation case management from pre-suit through trial.
• Conduct factual investigations and analysis.

Quarles & Brady LLP is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic Labor & Employment Practice Group in our San Diego office. This position will assist attorneys in all phases of case management, from inception through trial, in a broad range of labor and employment matters. Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of labor and employment litigation case management from pre-suit investigation through trial and post-trial proceedings.
• Conduct factual investigations and analysis.
• Collect, review, organize and analyze large volumes of documents and electronically stored information (ESI).
• Prepare documents for production, including Bates-stamping, privilege review coordination and quality control.
• Draft, coordinate and manage service of subpoenas.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trial.
• Prepare exhibits, witness binders, demonstratives and other trial-related materials.
• Manage case calendars, deadlines and docketing in accordance with applicable court rules and procedures.
• Coordinate with court reporters, vendors and e-discovery providers as needed.
• Support trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management and courtroom technology setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in labor and employment.
• Strong experience handling matters in both state and federal courts.
• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw and e-discovery platforms.
• Extensive technology experience with applications such as Trial Director, CaseMap, Everlaw and other litigation support tools.
• Ability to learn and work with emerging legal technology and artificial intelligence applications.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Quarles & Brady offers competitive salaries and great benefits to employees including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401k, life, disability and much more. Benefit eligibility is dependent on hours. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience, education and skills of the applicant and other job-related factors. The range for this position for individuals physically located in San Diego is $36.00 - $60.00/hour.
