Job summary

Dyer Bregman & Ferris, PLLC, a growing Phoenix law firm, seeks a Civil Litigation Paralegal with 5-7 years' experience to support our attorneys in managing complex cases. The firm is located in midtown Phoenix on Central Avenue.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of civil litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
  • Associate/Bachelor in Paralegal Studies or related field; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, court rules, and e-discovery procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case preparation, discovery, and trial support.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies.
  • Manage case files, ensuring accurate organization and timely filing of documents with courts.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness materials.
  • Monitor and track case deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Assist with e-discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production.
