Our client, a well-established AmLaw 150 law firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its Phoenix office and support a busy commercial litigation practice across contract, business tort, real estate, and corporate governance matters. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and post-trial proceedings
- Collect, organize, review, and manage documents and case materials in connection with discovery and case strategy
- Prepare documents for production, including coordinating privilege review and Bates-stamping
- Assist with all phases of discovery, including document production and electronically stored information (ESI)
- Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other court filings in Arizona state and federal courts
- Manage case calendars, court deadlines, and docketing requirements
- Prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Organize exhibits, deposition materials, demonstratives, witness materials, and trial binders
- Coordinate with court reporters, e-discovery providers, copy services, and other outside vendors as needed
- Support trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit management, and courtroom technology
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience; commercial litigation experience preferred
- Experience supporting matters in both state and federal courts
- Strong familiarity with Arizona Superior Court procedures and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, including Local Rules and CM/ECF filing
- Experience with discovery, document production, and electronically stored information (ESI)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Westlaw, and litigation technology
- Experience with e-discovery and trial applications such as DISCO, Everlaw, TrialDirector, and CaseMap preferred
- Comfort learning and working with emerging technology and AI applications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members
