Job summary

Fox Rothschild seeks an experienced litigator to handle a broad range of commercial disputes from inception through resolution. The role requires strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience, with second-chair trial or arbitration experience preferred.

The candidate will develop strategies for state and federal court matters, draft pleadings and dispositive motions, manage discovery, and participate in mediations and trials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handles a range of commercial disputes through resolutions, including breach of contract, warranty, and business torts.
• Manages complex litigation from inception through resolution, including trial and arbitration.
• Develops and executes litigation strategies in state and federal court, including dispositive motions.
• Drafts pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive documents; handles discovery; takes/defends depositions; participates in mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Maintains regular communication with clients and opposing counsel, tracks deadlines, and manages caseloads.
• Mentors junior associates and staff; participates in business development and client relations.

• Handles a range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, breach of warranty, mechanic's lien claims, bond claims, and business torts.
• Manages complex litigation matters independently from inception through resolution, including trial and arbitration.
• Requires strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience, with second-chair trial or arbitration experience specifically required.
• Involves developing and executing litigation strategies in state and federal court, including complex multi-party actions, and drafting and arguing dispositive motions, such as motions for summary judgment.
• Includes drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents, preparing and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and participating in mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Responsible for maintaining regular communication with clients and opposing counsel about case developments and litigation strategy, efficiently tracking deadlines, and managing caseloads.
• Expected to mentor and supervise junior associates and legal staff, and participate in business development and client relationship activities.
• Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
