Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP in Denver seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate with three to five years of experience to join the Financial Services & Capital Markets Strategic Business Unit.

The ideal candidate will handle all phases of complex commercial litigation, including factual investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, motions, mediation, and client communications; state and federal court experience is preferred, with second-chair experience welcome but not required.

Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve.

We have an immediate opening in our Denver office for a Commercial Litigation Associate with three to five years of experience preferred. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Financial Services & Capital Markets Strategic Business Unit.

The ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation including, but not limited to, experience conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients. Experience in both state and federal court is preferred, and experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial. Second-chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred but not required.

The candidate must have an excellent academic record, superb writing skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a team, superior judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Judicial clerkship experience with a federal court is preferred but not required. Candidates must have a Colorado bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.

Pursuant to applicable state law, the compensation range for this position in Denver is $210,000 - $240,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus.
