Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve. We have an immediate opening in our Phoenix office for a Commercial Litigation Associate with four to six years of experience preferred. Candidates should have an active Arizona bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit.
The candidate will manage all phases of complex commercial litigation, including factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients. Experience in both state and federal court is preferred, as well as experience in administrative matters and arbitrations. Second‑chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Experience and/or interest in transportation and supply chain issues is a plus. The candidate should be proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial with varied backgrounds and interests.
