Gorman 56 Personnel Consultants, Inc. is representing a terrific, established insurance brokerage seeking a highly experienced Senior Insurance Coverage & Risk Advisor / Commercial Lines Team Leader in Union, NJ.

This role focuses on technical coverage challenges, risk management, and leadership within a dedicated commercial lines team. The position emphasizes complex risk analysis, policy review, and guidance to Account Executives, with a strong voice in underwriting guidelines and client

Qualifications

• Significant commercial insurance brokerage experience.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Professional designations preferred: CPCU CIC CRM ARM CRIS TRS MLIS.
• Broker's License required.
• Knowledge of AMS 360 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical direction to Account Executives and the Commercial Department staff.
• Provide high-level coverage oversight, policy analysis, risk assessment and technical guidance.
• Handle complex Construction, Transportation, Environmental and Middle Market risks.
• Conduct detailed coverage and exposure analyses.
• Review policies and endorsements for accuracy, completeness and potential coverage gaps.
• Develop and implement sophisticated risk management strategies.
• Create and manage captive insurance programs.
• Strengthen the agency’s coverage-review procedures and help reduce E&O exposure.
• Work closely with team leaders and senior management on complex accounts.
• Partner with the upper-management team to review and implement agency-wide underwriting guidelines.

Our client is a terrific, established 30-person insurance brokerage looking for a highly experienced commercial insurance professional to become its Senior Insurance Coverage & Risk Advisor / Commercial Lines Team Leader.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of insurance, complex coverage analysis, risk management and leadership and wants a significant voice in how a respected brokerage services its clients.
