Qualifications

• 1 year experience in customer service.
• Insurance designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently screens, quotes, and processes new business submissions, including initial review and triage, and processes policy issues, renewals, and endorsements.
• Performs renewal reviews within department authority and makes recommendations to the underwriter.
• Processes manual coverages by completing accurate rating calculations, preparing manual endorsement wording, and attaching appropriate forms.
• Reviews endorsements to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Collects information, performs data entry, analyzes risk factors, and coordinates documentation for underwriting files to meet policy needs.
• Orders reports as requested by underwriters, reviews reports, and completes general duties within department authority.
• Provides a high level of accuracy and support to underwriters throughout the new business lifecycle and ongoing renewal account maintenance.
• Responds to inquiries, researches customer needs, and coordinates necessary follow-up with agents and underwriters within department customer service standards.
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships through collaboration with agents, underwriters, sales managers, and other stakeholders.
• Effectively presents information and responds to questions from individuals and groups while providing outstanding hospitality.
• Develops and applies understanding of Commercial Lines insurance, company products, pricing, and coverages in all states where Central does business.
• Develops and applies knowledge of Commercial Lines policy systems and related supporting systems to review, update, and process policies while making sound business decisions in accordance with standard procedures.
• Uses knowledge of Commercial Lines system and processes to help train underwriters, agents, sales managers, and other stakeholders and conducts workshops.
• Assists with testing initiatives
• Performs department audits.
