Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business. This hybrid role covers Southern California with on-site and remote work options and requires active P&C licensing.

You will lead a team, handle policy administration, billing, renewals, and client submissions, and collaborate across carrier platforms.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical competence: maintain industry knowledge and expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms for data accuracy.
