Insurance Office of America in Southern California is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and assisting new business. The hybrid role requires active P&C licensing.

You will lead the account management team, handle policy administration, billing, claims, and renewal negotiations, and strive for service excellence.

Qualifications

• Active P&C licensing required.
• CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate IOA values with integrity and leadership.
