Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business. The role involves coordinating day-to-day admin and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring accuracy across policy management, billing, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), active P&C license, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance
• Active property & casualty licensing required
• Professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring accuracy.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: research clients, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor data integrity.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Seek best practices to improve individual and team performance.
