Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a dedicated book of business with focus on service, renewals, and client retention. Hybrid in Southern California with remote eligibility for CA residents, you will coordinate policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis while leading a local team.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, holds active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), and demonstrates

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active property & casualty licensing required; CIC designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring no errors or omissions.
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
