Requirements include 8+ years of commercial insurance experience, strong relationship-building, and the ability to work hybrid with producers and carriers. A Property & Casualty license is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial insurance experience in an independent agency.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines (property, casualty) for construction and real estate.
• Experience managing a book of business independently or with a producer.
• Active Property & Casualty license preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Position Overview

Our client, a growing and well-established independent insurance agency, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team. This individual will manage a portfolio of commercial construction and real estate insurance accounts while providing exceptional service, developing strong client relationships, and supporting overall agency growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication
• Review coverage needs and provide insurance solutions tailored to client objectives
• Coordinate renewals, endorsements, certificates, and policy changes
• Collaborate with producers, carriers, and internal service teams
• Identify opportunities for account rounding and account growth
• Ensure a high level of client retention and satisfaction

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial insurance experience within in an independent insurance agency
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines coverage including property, casualty, and related products, specifically related to construction & real estate.
• Experience managing a book of business independently or working directly with a producer
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple client needs in a fast-paced environment
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
