Job summary

United Community Bank seeks a Commercial Loan Operations Assistant to support Commercial Relationship Managers and assist in underwriting, documentation, and loan closings. You will collect financial data, prepare communications, and help manage day-to-day loan operations with a focus on risk assessment and timely service.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure accurate, compliant processing and superior customer support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of credit or customer service experience in financial services.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of federal and state banking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and administrative support to Commercial Relationship Managers and partners.
• Collect, order, and track information for risk assessment and underwriting (UCC, appraisals, environmental assessments, etc.).
• Prepare written communications for CRM (commitment letters, term sheets, notes).
• Complete the Credit Lens Loan Worksheet and coordinate with loan closers.
• Monitor reporting, identify actions (maturities, LC renewals, insurance, real estate taxes).
• Load customer financial statements to Credit Lens and manage ongoing data.
• Coordinate loan closings with loan operations, underwriters, and counsel.
