Job summary

North Dallas Bank & Trust is seeking a Commercial Lending Assistant to support lenders in developing, originating, and servicing loan relationships. The role requires handling loan documentation, closing coordination, and maintaining compliance with state and federal lending regulations.

The position is on-site in Plano, TX and involves assisting multiple loan officers, organizing files, and coordinating with title companies to ensure timely closings. Notary licensing may be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial lending or loan assistant experience.
• Experience supporting multiple loan officers or a lending team.
• Familiarity with loan documentation, underwriting packages, and closing coordination.
• Credit analysis basics and understanding of financial statements; lending regulation knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook/Teams; CM systems and databases; notary willing.

Responsibilities

• Review daily NSF and OD activity for accounts assigned to Loan Officer.
• Handle customer service needs including transfers, line of credit advances, and payments.
• Screen calls and manage calendar appointments; organize loan files in process.
• Coordinate closing times with title companies and customers; prepare closing disclosures.
• Prepare HMDA reporting; ensure compliance with lending laws; promote bank products.
