Job summary

United Community Bank in Huntsville, AL seeks a Commercial Loan Assistant to support relationship managers and loan closings in the commercial lending process.

You will collect financial statements, coordinate with underwriters, prepare commitment letters and term sheets, monitor maturities and renewals, and ensure timely responses to internal and external customers. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and administrative support to Commercial Relationship Managers (CRM).
• Assist with collection, ordering, and tracking information for risk assessment and underwriting: UCC searches, appraisals, environmental assessments, Know Your Customer, survey, leases, organizational documents, insurance, beneficial ownership, OFAC.
• Prepare written communications on behalf of the CRM (commitment letters, term sheets, etc.).
• Complete the Credit Lens Loan Worksheet and coordinate with the Commercial Loan Closer.
• Monitor reporting (maturities, auto-renew LCs, insurance, real estate taxes) and act as needed.
• Collect customer financial statements and upload to Credit Lens.
• Collaborate on loan closings and submit executed documents.
• Submit customer maintenance requests to Loan Operations; transfer notes; manage disbursement coordination.
• Complete post-close tasks in Credit Lens and maintain WIP files.
• Participate in required compliance and training programs; adhere to policies and professional standards.
