Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to steward a book of business, retain clients, and support growth initiatives. The role requires coordinating daily administrative tasks, handling policy administration, billing, and claims, and ensuring accurate renewals and coverage analysis.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with active P&C licensing (CIC or equivalent preferred) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing is required; CIC or equivalent is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensure account retention and support new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team
• Deliver proactive service and quick responses to service requests
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Seek best practices to improve performance
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership
