Job Description

Capital Region Insurance Agency, named Harrisburg Magazine “Simply the Best” & Central Penn Business Journal Top Insurance agency and agents 2018, 2019, and 2024, is seeking to add talented professionals to our team: a Personal Lines Account Manager and a Commercial Lines Account Manager. The ideal candidates will communicate effectively with clients, producers, and insurance companies via email, telephone, and in person to provide exceptional customer service. We pride ourselves on our customer-first attitude, technical expertise, and integrity, and we seek candidates who embody these values.

Essential Functions:
  1. Review applications for insurance coverage and other information to determine eligibility for available programs.
  2. Evaluate the risk experience against the relevant class of business.
  3. Prepare quotations for producers and respond to inquiries from them, policyholders, or prospects.
  4. Review policies for renewal considerations.
  5. Utilize knowledge of automated systems to develop information for new and renewal policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Attend seminars for education and training as needed to stay current with technical and business developments.
  2. Maintain a professional and businesslike appearance.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Education and Experience: An associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one to three years of experience/training in the insurance industry, or an equivalent combination.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within prescribed routines and standards.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Must hold a PA Property and Casualty Producer license.
