Moore's Electrical and Mechanical in Blacksburg, VA, is seeking an Electrical Mechanic to deliver quality service and installation for commercial and industrial customers with a strong emphasis on safety.

Responsibilities include conduit work, reading blueprints, wiring panels, and assisting with PLCs alongside mentoring helpers and apprentices. A HS diploma and solid electrical knowledge are required, with training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the electrical trade.
• Vocational school or prior training preferred.

• Experience seeing electrical system installs from start to finish.
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of conduit in all sizes.
• Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, coordinated drawings, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
• Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices.
• Understanding of PLCs, controls, and industrial manufacturing a plus.
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices.

Location: Blacksburg, New River Valley, Roanoke, and surrounding areas.

The Role

The Electrical Mechanic is responsible for ensuring quality service and installation for our commercial and/or industrial customers and doing so by always promoting safety.

What You'll Do

• Experience seeing electrical system installs from start to finish
