Moore's Electrical and Mechanical in Roanoke, VA, is seeking an Electrical Mechanic for commercial and industrial projects. The role emphasizes safety while delivering quality service and installations for diverse customers.

You will perform conduit work, read blueprints, and assist with panel hookups. PLCs knowledge and mentoring helpers are a plus; strong teamwork and safety focus are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the electrical trade.
• Vocational school or prior training preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Good physical condition with ability to lift heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Experience seeing electrical system installs from start to finish.
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of conduit in all sizes.
• Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, coordinated drawings, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
• Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices.
• Understanding of PLCs, controls, and industrial manufacturing a plus.
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices.

The Role
