Job summary

Moore's Electrical and Mechanical is seeking a Commercial Electrician to support installation of electrical projects in Charlottesville and surrounding areas. You will read blueprints, install EMT conduit, and assist with panel wiring, fixtures, and devices.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical trade principles and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of assigned electrical project.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to plan work.
• Hook up/terminate panels, set fixtures and devices.
• Mentor and train helpers and apprentices.

Commercial Electrician

Location: Charlottesville and surrounding areas

The Role:

The Commercial Electrician is responsible for assisting in the install of your assigned electrical project.

What You'll Do:

• Thorough knowledge in the electrical trade
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of EMT conduit of all sizes
• Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
• Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices
• Experience seeing installs from start to finish
• Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational school or prior training preferred.
• Basic understanding of trade principles and concepts.
• Strong interest in the trade and a desire to learn and develop new skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols
